Rules & Guidelines

Brisbane North Family Market Trading Hours:
6:00am - 1:00pm every Sunday. Stall holders will be allowed entry at 4:00am and no later than 5:30am. All vehicles must be cleared from market by 5:30am so that no vehicle is in motion when customers begin to enter our market. Upon arrival to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre grounds all stallholders must enter through Gate A. Traffic Controllers will be provided for you assistance. No vehicle is to be in motion in the market site before 1:00pm.

Parking:
Our market includes two different types of sites. One site allows you to leave your vehicle on site and the other requires you to remove your vehicle from the market. If your site does not include your vehicle then you must unload at your site and park your vehicle in the designated staff parking area. All staff MUST park in Carpark C. All other parking must be available for the customers as they are the ones we rely on to make our business successful. .

Attendance:
- Permanent stall holders will be charged for their site irrespective of not showing.
- Casual stall holders MUST notify us by 5:00am on day of market if not attending. If you fail to notify us you will be charged your applicable one week stall if you want to return.
- If you are running late please contact us so that we can hold your site. Communication is very important.
- Owners have the right to relocate another stall holder to any empty site if original stall holder is not in their site by 5:30am.

Presentation:
Stalls:
Stall presentation is our significant importance to our overall market. All stock is to be presented on tables or acceptable portable shelving. The use of tablecloths is also compulsory. Gazebos are also important to keep stock out of direct sunlight.

Traders:
Stall holders and staff are to be dressed in clean, presentable clothing and footwear. We recommend clean shirts or aprons with a business logo or name tag.

Powered Sites:
These are available for $15.00 plus site fee. Bring tested and tagged power leads only.

Cleaning:
Traders are responsible for their own rubbish. No rubbish whatsoever is to be left on site. We will provide wheelie bins for the convenience of our patrons and must not be used at any stage by stall holders.

Smoking:
Smoking is prohibited by the council for all in the food trading areas. There will be be designated smoking areas in the market.

Licenses:
Traders are responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits. The Brisbane City Council's phone number regarding licenses is (07) 3403 8888. A copy of your license will be required when application form is accepted.

Public Liability Insurance:
It is compulsory for all stall holders to have public liability insurance. To ensure everyone has cover we have negotiated with our insurance company cover for all. A fee of $5.00 weekly will be charged in addition to rental and GST.

Lease Lines:
It is important to keep all displays inside your designated stall area. No signs or displays will be tolerated outside of your stall. It is important to co-operate with us to ensure the safety of our patrons.
